At AI Meeting Notes, we operate on a fundamental principle: your meeting conversations, transcripts, decisions, and action items belong exclusively to you.
Our core Natural Language Processing (NLP) parser and speech recognition modules execute natively within your browser sandbox. Unlike conventional SaaS productivity platforms, we do not transmit, log, index, or store transcript text on remote servers or analytical databases.
2. Data Ingestion & Processing Details
- Direct Text Input & File Uploads: When you paste text or upload subtitle files (.txt, .vtt, .srt, .md), the files are read in volatile local browser memory via the HTML5 FileReader API. No file is uploaded to remote storage.
- Microphone Audio & Dictation: Live voice recording utilizes the browser’s built-in Web Speech API or local MediaRecorder. Audio streams are never archived to external audio servers.
- Optional BYO Gemini API Key: If you choose to input a personal Gemini API Key, it is saved strictly in your device's
localStorage. Direct API calls are transmitted over encrypted TLS directly to Google Cloud endpoints. We never receive or store your key.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use tracking cookies for behavioral ad profiling. We utilize standard browser localStorage solely for functional preferences:
aimn_theme: Remembers your selected Light/Dark visual theme.aimn_custom_gemini_key: Stores your optional custom AI API key (if provided by you).
4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because our system does not collect, persist, or monetize user transcripts or Personal Identifiable Information (PII), our service adheres by design to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
